You won't regret getting Magna-tiles for your children, a family member, or for friends. Our friends children have sets of Magna-tiles as well and they are just as popular in their house as they are in our home. Our personal favorite is the translucent or clear Magna-tiles, but the colored (opaque) tiles work and look well also. Due to the fact that the Magna-tiles are played with constantly, I believe they are a good value even if the original purchase is expensive. One negative is that the Magna-tiles sets are expensive ($1.50/tile in smaller sets). So Santa brought the 100 Magna-tiles set for Christmas last year. The boys loved them so much that we realized that the limited number of tiles was hampering their creativity. My boys received a set of 32 Magna-tiles as a gift about a year ago and they continually play with them again and again. You can even use the magnetic tiles in the sand or water…they won’t get ruined! They are such good quality that sand or water won’t seep into the tiles.Īs you can see, there are plenty of ways to use magnetic blocks! We just love them and I feel they are worth the price.As the father of 3 boys ages 9, 7, and 2, I get to see on a daily basis what toys hold there attention and what toys are played with once and then put aside.

We’ve also used them on a big sheet pan and designing a maze for a ball to go through. What a great way to work on math skills or just create designs! This idea to use the tiles on a Magna-doodle board is genius! It makes marks where the magnets are.
Or you could build with faux snow underneath. You can use Magna-Tiles in the snow! This is a cool idea from Munchkins and Moms. You could make some mix-and-match creatures! You can write on them using a dry erase marker. Check out this awesome way of using Magna-tiles in the window. It’s so pretty! You can experiment where a good spot in the house or outside is. If you find a sunny spot, you can build there and see the color shadows. I love this idea from Happy Toddler Playtime to create dinosaurs with the tiles! So fun and creative!
